Terms of Service

Last updated: 27 July 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Photolio app ("Photolio", the "app"), operated by Jun Wang. By downloading or using the app, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

Who can use Photolio

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country) to use Photolio. If you use the app on behalf of an organization, you represent that you are authorized to accept these Terms for it.

Your account

You can use Photolio as a guest or create an account. If you create an account, you are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for activity that occurs under your account. Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use.

Subscriptions (Photolio Pro)

Photolio offers an optional paid subscription, Photolio Pro, which increases the number of identities and photos you can keep in Photolio. Signed-in free accounts also receive cloud sync and backup within the free limits.

Your content

Photolio lets you create and store content such as photos, names, contact details, and groups ("your content"). You retain ownership of your content. You grant us a limited license to host, store, process, and display your content solely to operate the app for you (for example, to sync it across your devices and to render the card information you choose to share).

You are responsible for your content, and you represent that:

Acceptable use

Photolio has zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive behavior. You agree not to:

Reporting, blocking, and enforcement

You can report an externally received or publicly discovered profile from its action menu and block it for the identity you are currently using. You can review or reverse blocks under Settings → Blocked Profiles. Reports are confidential and are not shown to the reported account.

We may review reported or shared content and related account activity. If we reasonably believe content or conduct violates these Terms, creates a safety risk, or exposes us or others to legal liability, we may reject or remove content, restrict sharing, suspend access, or terminate the account. We may also preserve or disclose information when required by law. To report an urgent safety concern that cannot be submitted in the app, email [email protected].

Sharing

Photolio lets you share an identity card with people you choose, via a QR code or link. You are responsible for whom you share with and what you include. Anyone who receives a share code or link may view the information on that card.

Public Profiles and Usernames

An eligible account owner may claim one globally unique Username for an identity and separately enable an anonymous Public Profile. Eligibility requires a Public identity, a reviewed and approved publication, an active Username, and the owner's anonymous-access setting. Photolio may disable Public Profiles globally or restrict an individual Profile for safety, legal, security, capacity, or service-integrity reasons.

Claiming a Username is permanent. A Username cannot be edited, transferred, released, sold, or reused, including after you delete the Profile or account. Do not claim a name unless you are prepared for that permanent reservation and have the right to use it without impersonating another person or organization.

When anonymous access is on, anyone may view the stable Public Profile URL without signing in. It contains only the last approved public projection and approved thumbnail or fallback, but viewers and external services may save, screenshot, or cache what they receive. A signed-in Block does not stop an unidentified anonymous viewer. You can stop new anonymous responses by turning off anonymous access in the identity's Public Profile settings or by changing its Visibility; this does not release the Username or recall copies already saved elsewhere.

Following

People who receive an identity through a QR code or link may be able to Follow it. Depending on the identity's settings, a Follow may be approved automatically or require approval. Requesters may cancel pending requests, recipients may deny them, followers may Unfollow, and users may Block identities. Following does not override an identity's visibility, publication, or safety restrictions.

Public discovery

If you set an identity to Public, its last approved profile card may appear to signed-in users in Global Search. Users may find it by its approved name, subtitle, public tags, or eligible social and website handles. Phone numbers and email addresses are not searchable through the public directory. You can remove an identity from public discovery by changing its visibility, subject to the app's current visibility and sharing rules. Other users may Report or Block profiles they discover.

Service changes

We may add, change, or discontinue features at any time. We will try to avoid disrupting your use of the app, but we do not guarantee that any feature will always be available.

Termination

You may stop using the app and delete your account at any time in Settings → Account → Delete Account. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or use the app in a way that could cause harm or legal liability.

Disclaimers

The app is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the maximum extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that your content will never be lost.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, arising out of or related to your use of the app.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Singapore, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Your continued use of the app after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
